Entertainment is any activity that provides amusement or enjoyment. It can take many forms and can be found in a variety of media, such as novels, movies, television, and theatre.
The word “entertainment” is derived from the Medieval Latin intertenere, based on the Indo-European root ten. The prefix inter means “inside” and the suffix tenere means to hold.
The arts and entertainment sector is one of the pillars of our society that contributes to various societal needs, like cancer research, for example. The SU2C initiative is led by top scientists from different institutions and their collaboration will accelerate the pace of breakthroughs against cancer.
